(2 years ago)I just got back from seeing the nerdulous Adrian Tomine and the anachronistic Seth speak at the Strand in Union Square and it was effing awesome. Tomine was funny and hit all the self-depricating ex-geek notes that i expected and talked about his struggle with reprinting his earliest, most embarassing material. But Seth stole the show with his deadpan humor, his hickish Ontario accent, Depression-era ensemble, and his series of annecdotes that were seperated with the ring of a bell. He signed my new copy of George Sprott and we talked about Guelph for five minutes. Nice guy. Wish i was him.
Can’t wait for MOCCA this weeknd!
